Available French and English Bulldog Puppies

For the purpose of this Guarantee the following terms will be used:

The terms “Puppy” and “Dog” will be synonymous unless otherwise stipulated. The terms "Seller", "Skymeadow", "Skymeadow Farm" “Else Whitney” or “ Else J. Whitney” will refer to Skymeadow Farm, the seller of the puppy or dog. The terms "Buyer", "Customer", and "Original Owner" will refer to the original purchaser of the puppy or dog. The terms "Veterinarian,” "Licensed Veterinarian" or “Veterinary Clinic or Hospital” will refer to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or veterinary clinic licensed and accredited by the state in which the practitioner or clinic is located.

BASIC GUARANTEE

Seller will take all reasonable measures to help assure that all puppies or dogs sold to all Customers are delivered to the customer in good general physical condition. All dogs and puppies will be current on their recommended vaccinations and will have been recently wormed before delivery to the Customer. It will be the responsibility of the Customer to complete and continue the required vaccination and parasite control protocols.

If the puppy or dog purchased will be the beneficiary of the “Extended Guarantee” outlined below, the Customer needs to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian as soon as possible after they receive it. Skymeadow Farm will provide customers with a "Puppy Health Certification” form, which must be completed and signed by a licensed veterinarian of the buyer's choice when the puppy has the above examination. Failure to have this form signed as outlined above by a veterinarian and returned to Skymeadow Farm will void the “Extended Guarantee” outlined below if that guarantee is applicable.

EXTENDED GUARANTEE

Skymeadow Farm guarantees all puppies and dogs sold by us, except those that are specifically excluded by a mutual agreement in writing by both the Customer and Skymeadow Farm to be and remain free from life threatening congenital defects for the period of One Year from the date of birth of the puppy.

The following minimum conditions must be met in order for this Puppy Guarantee to remain in effect for the period stated:

1. The puppy must receive veterinary care at periodic intervals to include but not be limited to regular health check-ups, worming and the continuation of the vaccination series that has already been started.

2. The puppy is to receive suitable, daily rations of high quality food suitable to the breed and clean water to keep it well-nourished and resistant to illnesses.

3. The puppy is to be housed in a suitable shelter typical for its breed and be kept protected from both extreme weather conditions and other hazards such as predators.

In the unlikely event that your puppy is discovered to have some life threatening genetic defect within the guarantee period, you must contact Skymeadow Farm, Inc. in writing outlining the defect immediately upon its discovery. After a veterinarian of our choosing has subsequently examined your puppy and that practitioner confirms the life threatening genetic defect, we will replace your original puppy with one of the same breed and sex that we feel has an equal value to that of your original puppy.

In all cases where there is going to be a replacement puppy provided, Skymeadow Farm will require the original puppy or dog to be returned to Skymeadow Farm unless an agreeable negotiated settlement in writing can be reached between Skymeadow Farm and the Customer. Replacement puppies or dogs delivered under this Guarantee will be covered by the same guarantee as the original puppy or dog. 

Skymeadow Farm will not be responsible for any third party veterinary or laboratory bills incurred by the Customer at any time. Any health disputes regarding a Customer’s puppy or dog that may occur will be presented to Skymeadow Farm's veterinarian who will make the final decisions or determinations on such issues.

This Guarantee accrues to the benefit of the original Purchaser only. It is not transferable and will become null and void if any interest in any covered puppy or dog is sold, leased, in any other way transferred to a third party or if the puppy or dog is no longer under the direct care, custody and control of the original Buyer unless permission to do so in writing has first been obtained from Skymeadow Farm, Inc.

Skymeadow Farm may sell selected puppies and dogs without the “Extended Guarantee.” In such cases the Customer will be required to sign a release in favor of Skymeadow Farm acknowledging the above.

ADDITIONAL MALE PUPPY GUARANTEE

Male puppies are guaranteed to have both testicles drop by the age of twelve months. If this does not happen and the Buyer intends to request a replacement puppy, the Buyer must notify Skymeadow Farm in writing before the puppy is twelve months old. No replacement will be offered until the puppy is a full twelve months old. Verification that one or both testicles have not dropped must be submitted to Skymeadow Farm in writing by a licensed veterinarian. Skymeadow Farm will require the return of the original puppy unless an agreeable negotiated settlement in writing can be reached between the Customer and Skymeadow Farm allowing the customer to keep the original puppy.

It will be the customer’s responsibility to return the original puppy to Skymeadow Farm (if applicable) and pick up the replacement. If the original puppy is left with the buyer, the original puppy must be neutered with proof of the neutering sent to Skymeadow Farm by a licensed veterinarian before the replacement puppy is given to the Customer.
